Located in southern Chesterfield Co.,Virginia, our school was originally built in 1959. Numerous additions and renovations have occurred over the years, the latest occurring during the summer of 2006. Our school serves approximately 500 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade, including programs for MIMD, LD, ED, and Gifted students. We are a “School-Wide” Title 1 school. In addition, a Head Start class uses our building. Harrowgate has a newly renovated gymnasium, a modern library/media center, two computer labs, and a performance stage in the cafeteria/all purpose room.

Under the No Child Left Behind Act, Harrowgate Elementary is “Fully Accredited” and has met and surpassed “Adequate Yearly Progress” standards. In addition, Harrowgate Elementary has met Virginia AMO benchmarks for all subject areas and subgroups.

Our school mascot is an Eagle and our school colors are maroon & grey.
